Our Debate Programs
Boost your child’s self confidence and analytical abilities, our debate programs help children achieve higher grades and perform better in standardized tests.

Junior Debate
The Junior debate program is a critical thinking course designed for young learners, using an adaptation of the World School’s Style debate format. The program's focus is twofold: train students to deliver in a structured manner and stay intellectually curious about a wide variety of topics and subject areas.

Public Forum Debate
Public forum debate is THE most popular debate format in North America. The format encourages students to deep dive into evidence and research, often requiring students to defend the evidence they have put together for their speeches. In a way, public forum debate is the start of our students’ academic journey, digesting academic journals and books on their way to becoming the best debater.

World School Style Parliamentary Debate
The World School Debate Championship(WSDC) style debate is a format that is rising in popularity in the US and is very established, especially among the Commonwealth nations. Each year, delegates representing their countries meet to compete for top honors in the World School Debate Championship. For our students, this is the start of their transition from a prepared debate to an impromptu debate. The focus on evidence will decrease while the focus on how they deliver arguments will increase.

Asian Parliamentary Debate
Asian parliamentary debate is a popular format among Asian universities in the spring season, with the United Asians Debate Championship as the pinnacle event of the season. Format-wise, it is very similar to the WSDC other than the shortening of speaker timing. It is also a good transition for our students to start competing against older, university-level debaters.

British Parliamentary
British parliamentary (BP) is the oldest and most challenging parliamentary debate available. Every December, teams from all over the world meet to challenge for the World Universities Debating Championship (WUDC). For our students, BP is a good way to enhance their understanding of our world, not only through the lens of books and programs but in perspectives they might not have considered

Taking Sides
The taking side series is Inspira’s way of deep diving into certain topics or subjects closely related to success in debating competitions. Not only do we look at the controversy through our debate lens, but we also ask students to further their research and think of how else things could have been done better.

Inspira to the World Series
Each session, we invite top speakers from across the globe to come and share their stories with our students, be it their experience growing up or their debate stories on how they overcame certain fears. We believe that the best way of learning is by following examples. We hope that through this program, we can inspire the next generation of world class speakers.

The Economist Reading Program
Reading and knowing stuff is a big part of an impromptu debate. The program is designed for students to read about the world’s most critical issues and discuss the latest happenings. Students are expected to turn in a 600-1000 word essay.
